Topeka, KS - January 12, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) — Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) has awarded $62.4 million in stimulus funds to support the construction of 842 affordable rental housing units statewide. The funds come from the Tax Credit Exchange Program (CEP) and the Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP), two initiatives established in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to create housing for the nation’s lowest income residents.

Topeka, KS - October 15, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) has awarded $3.8 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) to build affordable, energy efficient rental housing in Wamego and Bird City. The stimulus funds, allocated through the Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP), will create 38 rental units serving low-income families and seniors.

WASHINGTON, DC - October 12, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Dennis Moore (Third District – Kansas) announced today the passage of H.R. 3590, The Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009, which amends the federal tax code to ensure military personnel can take full advantage of the first-time homebuyer tax credit that was created as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The measure passed the House by a unanimous vote of 416-0. Moore is a co-sponsor of the legislation.

May 15, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Kansas Housing Resources Corporation hereby publishes a preliminary draft of its Selection Criteria for funding through the Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP). All applications are evaluated based on the Selection Criteria in the Qualified Allocation Plan. KHRC will then rank and give priority to applications based on the following criteria
