WICHITA, KS – June 15, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Over 500 developers, city planners, business leaders, housing advocates and community development professionals are set to converge on Wichita this August for the 2011 Kansas Housing Conference. The sixth annual event takes place August 9 – 11 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel located at 400 West Waterman. Presented in partnership by Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and NeighborWorks America, the three-day conference offers over 40 dynamic and educational breakout sessions, cutting-edge technical trainings, housing policy forums, networking receptions and tours.
Conference highlights include a keynote presentation from Dr. Raphael Bostic, Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Dr. Bostic leads a multi-disciplinary team of nearly 160 people responsible for providing current information on housing needs, economic and housing market conditions at the regional, city and local levels, and research on important housing and community development issues.
