Sponsored by the Wichita Association of REALTORS®, in partnership with the Manhattan Association of REALTORS®, this comprehensive, four-hour class takes place Wednesday, September 12th at the Manhattan Conference Center. This unique training teaches real estate professionals, mortgage brokers, lenders, businesses and non-profit organizations about the benefits of workforce housing initiatives and how to share the EAH concept with community leaders.

Tameka Bryant, President of Women in Real Estate and Board Member of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®, is the NAR authorized instructor who will conduct the EAH class. The training focuses on three benefit options employers can implement:
- Home Buying/Homeownership Workshops and Foreclosure Assistance Workshops: Employers can provide access to free home-buying and homeownership workshops provided by REALTORS® and lenders. Employers can also provide employees with workshops on foreclosure prevention assistance and resources. This component can help teach employees how to find and afford safe and affordable housing; how to maintain a home they have purchased; and how to avoid foreclosure and keep their home.
- Housing Counseling: Employers can sponsor in-depth housing counseling and education benefits in partnership with participating non-profit counseling agencies. This component offers a more personalized and comprehensive housing program to help employees overcome barriers to homeownership.
- Financial Assistance: Employers can provide financial benefits such as forgivable loans, grants or matched savings to help employees purchase a home. This component helps employers address employee recruitment, retention, and recognition issues.
The cost to attend the EAH class $49. The early bird fee to attend the EAH session, plus general conference sessions is $199.
