The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) was formed pursuant to K.S.A. 74-8904(v) per the Governor's Executive Reorganization Order (ERO) # 30.  KHRC is a subsidiary corporation of the Kansas Development Finance Authority. 

The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation mission is to enhance Kansas communities with housing opportunities. This goal is achieved through using a variety of strategies and approaches, including increasing homeownership opportunities, leveraging the construction of more affordable rental housing, preserving existing housing through rehabilitation, promoting energy efficiency improvements for owner-occupied and rental housing, providing affordable housing through rent assistance to low-income families and senior citizens, and creating housing opportunities for previously underserved persons and communities.

GOVERNOR BROWNBACK PROCLAIMS APRIL FAIR HOUSING MONTH

TOPEKA - April 4, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- In celebration of the 44th anniversary of the 1968 landmark Fair Housing Act, Governor Sam Brownback has proclaimed April Fair Housing Month in Kansas. The Fair Housing Act is the federal law prohibiting discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of housing based on race, religion, national origin, sex, disability and familial status.

KANSAS HOUSING RESOURCES CORPORATION ASSISTING HARVEYVILLE RESIDENTS DISPLACED BY TORNADO

Revitalized Apollo Towers Preserves Essential Housing for Families in Clay Center

TOPEKA CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

TOPEKA, KS - June 20, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) --Governor Sam Brownback joined officials from Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC), the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, Midwest Housing Equity Group and the Pioneer Group to celebrate the grand opening of Pioneer Adams II, a new affordable housing community in southeast Topeka. Pioneer Adams II, an extension of the existing Pioneer Adams Towne Homes development, offers 29 newly built one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus 20 more three-bedroom townhomes. Construction of the development created an estimated 37 jobs.
