Senator Roberts Announces $207,000 Grant to Mennonite Housing in Wichita

WASHINGTON, DC - September 9, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $207,000 grant to Mennonite Housing Rehabilitation Services in Wichita for housing.

The Demonstration Planning Grant (DPG) of $207,000 will provide up-front funds for architectural and engineering work, site control, and other expenses related to the development of the projects prior to initial closing. Without the grant funding, such costs would not be reimbursable until closing or would have to come from other funding sources.

The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
